Hi mom! HI - wow, your halarious!
uh oh. oh no....
its the sound. the one i don't like, why does she always do this?? maybe my small pout will stop her...
MOM - thats enough!!!
Here's the sound and face in action, sorry its sideways. Yeah, i can't figure that out...
And my project number two! a drawstring bag. yah. I like the way it turned out. Skye gave me a whole bunch of fabric she used as backdrops, and isn' it cuuuuute!
I was even able to catch lane eating lunch today, the only time of the day i get to see him! Although i will be recruiting him for a day or two this week - the lab test results came back and there isn't any asbestos in the GLITTER popcorn ceilings in the farmhouse. Thats right, every room in that dang house has popcorn. and glitter. "shudder"...so im pretty much forcing lane to help me knock them down this week. wish us luck...
p.s. he is always wearing a hat, can you tell from the perma-dent in his hair?? you know, (nicole and lacy) the LCL one that used be white and is now...well...what color is manure??
and if anyone knows me they know of my hatred towards spiders. pure and utter hatred. But I have found a new little bugger that terrifies me even more - WASPS. and this new nest is located right outside the backdoor...where the big freezer is...that has all the popsicles in it...maybe i'll get brave enough to get me one! although i doubt it! once more i'll recruit Lane - or just throw him out there for a distraction while i run and grab one. just kidding. maybe not.

Summer love
Oh my goodness i love summer! even though its crazy busy for Lane as he tries to farm as much ground as possible, and i end up only getting a few pictures of him here and there! I still love it.
Locke wasn't too impressed when Lane started playing with his face...
And of course he is screaming his head off when i try to get a picture with him, but i always forget that i need a few with the two of us. But thats just the problem, usually its only the two of us! and i'm the worst at "arms length" pictures. So i figured its worth it to keep it anyways.
He's getting so strong! lifting his head up, and kicking SO HARD - i swear once he starts crawling there will be no stopping this guy!
Its just so fun to see them develop a personality, he coo's all the time now, and especially when someone is paying attention to him. its amazing that they know at such a young age that they can "talk" back.
I love the wrinkles in his forehead! his facial expressions get more diverse everyday, its so fun to see how he reacts to situations by the look on his face.
He found his hands last week and WILL NOT let them go, they have turned into his favorite chew toy! He is also starting to teeth, which completely disrupted our sleep last night...i don't wanna talk about it...we were not friends....
I went to Sara Reary's baby shower last week and was so excited to see that Amanda Winterton was there with her new baby! oh my heck, that little baby was the smallest, cutest thing i have ever seen. And look how honkin big Locke is compared to her!
And yeah, this only a week after she delivered. i know, she looks amazing.
aww! sweet little baby lips! it would be so fun to have a girl!!.......
This was my first "assignment" in my online home ec class, a pincusion pillow! I haven't had a lot of time to work on the projects, i'm going full speed right now renovating the farmhouse - I can't WAIT to see what it will look like when its all said and done. We are getting a ton of things done and i took some before pictures so we can compare the difference later...but i am finding some time at night to finish the class projects, hopefully i'll get a whole slew of them done this week!

The Latest
Me and my sister-in-law Mandy had this fun idea the other day of making our own soap! Lately we've both been on this health/handmade craze and it has been so much fun! We were completely inspired by the amazing soap makers on etsy, and decieded to give it a try. unfortunately all the soap materials came the day after she left to head back to Canada so I had to make it alone :'( but here is the finished product! I learned a TON on this first batch, mostly of what NOT to do...
It is Honey Oatmeal homemade soap. YUMM! The worst part is it has to harden for the next four weeks, i can't WAIT to use it!!!! Its going to make for some fun christmas presents this year!
I got out of the shower the other day and came upon this cute little moment between father and son:
So i snatched up my camera and took a few while I was still dripping wet...so worth it...Locke is getting to be so much fun. the way he focuses on faces is so cute, especially when it makes him go a little crosseyed!
I can actually get him to look at the camera now! he is a complete bobble-head, I love trying to get him to look up! He weaves his head back and forth trying SO hard to lift it up, and is getting better every day. cute little guy...
I've also learned a certain sound Locke does NOT LIKE - its this funny little shrill i was trying while to get him to smile. And now every time i do it I get the biggest fat lip! hahahah, it just shows a bit of his little personality, i love it!
We had a really fun day last week when i entered Locke into the Duchesne County Fair Baby Show. I wasn't going to do it, but Vicki would NOT allow me not to. And i was so glad she talked me into it! it was a hawaiian theme, hence the goggles and beach towel, and it was halarious to see how outrageous some mothers dressed their kids! There were only 3 kids in his age group, and he got first attendant! pretty good for screaming and crying when he got judged! he did not appreciate being in his swimsuit AT ALL.

Just another day...
Sometimes i look at my little sleeping babe and think, awww! time for some pictures. then this happens:
I've been trying to decide if I like smiling or crying pictures better, and i think i have to go with the crying ones because they're more true to life. Hahaha i keep looking at these and i can almost hear his high=pitched scream...
Other fun news: Locke rolled over today!! i think i can officially accept that he is no longer a newborn! i keep trying to put his small outfits on...its so funny to me how quickly i'm becoming baby hungry again. You would think that feeling would go away after having one! but it doesn't...in fact with me it's just getting stronger! i miss having a newborn! But then again...it sure is wonderful to get a decent night sleep finally...
So many people are trying to make it big with the new "invention" with babies, and these were my fav's:
Yes, they are serious about this one: a placenta teddy bear. the worst part?? it comes in a kit, for the true do-it-yourself-er. "shiver".
and this one, just kinda creepy...check out the other funny ones here

Summer fuN!
Alright, so this week i went and baby sat for my sister Skye, because she took off with a few girlfriends down to vegas for the weekend. So jelous. I got home and was thinking how fun it would be to do something for me! But not vegas...i don't think Lane would ever go for that! so instead i found this sewing class online that i would normally just pass by - so i actually signed up for it! it seriously sounds like so much fun, its about 20 projects that teach you tons about sewing for 60 bucks. i'm calling it an early birthday present to myself...check it out here So fun! and even though i'm trying to remodle the farmhouse and take care of a 3month old, i figured i'd still give it a shot. I'll post pictures of everything i make! I"m seriously so excited about it!
We actually got to have lunch with Kennedy and it was SO FUN! I love that she is still as halarious as ever - the mission has not mellowed her out at ALL! She was so excited to see me and mom, and especially little Locke. We both had a mini meltdown when she saw me holding him for the first time, it was so neat for her to be able to see him at this stage. Although he spent most of the time being quite fussy...i guess he wanted her to know what being a mom was really all about!
Oh KEN!!! these pictures make me so homesick for you! i cannot wait till she gets home in 8 months, i will finally feel complete again!
And she pretty much DEMANDED me to make her some of the flower headbands she saw on my blog, except as bobby pins. I made a ton, some for her and her two companions. she's in a three-some companionship right now and they were both so nice and fun i decided to add some in for them!
I found some houndstooth felt. Me and mom were SO excited to get our hands on some - Look how cute my clips turned out mom! We were a little scared it wouldn't work out because it was pretty thick, but it sure did! and now these ones are my favorites!
By the way they are all availiable for sale at my sister Skye's photography studio. And a little boutique here in Rosy.
I love those chubby cheeks! If i knew it wouldn't wake him up i'd kiss them all the time when he's sleeping! but i'm starting to learn its not worth the risk...
Little stinker...that grin just melts my heart!!!
