Happy b-day Lane!!

First off, how much fun is pioneer woman's actions? i did this one in Heartland. cool. However it would be a lot cooler if i had a better camera...

Look who's the big 26! and wow isn't that cake mighty impressive? i thought i could skip fondant and still ice it with regular icing...I learned it won't work on the sides...it actually looks decent from far away...what does Lane care anyways? he said as long as it had sugar in it, he was happy!

Love you baby!

So its my day off today. And that means craft time! yeehaw! today i worked on these cute little tile pendants for necklaces that a girl in town wants me to sell at her boutique called Sew and Sews Place. Its way cute. Anyhow between helping Lane chop hay and feeding calves I got this done:

p.s. notice the difference between first and second side...sad...

this is what a GOOD side looks like.

And this is the back! cute eh? when its done i'll take another picture with the ribbon cord and all! i think it's destined to be my mother-in-law's, who by the way is the vintage queen and already had dibbs on the first, even with the flaws!

Funny

Like father, like son.

So I thought it would be fun to take some milking pictures right? ya, maybe not. I pretty much was pinching and shoving to get lane and nolan to look at me. There is the potential for really cool pictures in there! and all lane does is pose like this:
Nice lane. nice.
here he is just putting on milkers....he actually doesn't have to milk that often, only when we give Edward - our peruvian milker - a day off which is a bout 3 times a month. He is working so hard right to save up when we bring his wife up from peru. They have been separated for a year or two!! and he is the same age as Lane. Seriously, sometimes i think my life is hard?? at least i have my husband in the same country!

And if you think i will ever get a face shot of nolan, dream on. As a farmer to the core, nolan hates me when the camera comes out.
