Heather Bailey!!!

Does anyone know who makes these fabrics???.........I gave it away already in the title. Its just this amazingly talented mom who decided to start making fabrics one day, and i GOT TO MEET HER!!! I was so excited!
She is the nicest person ever, i even got her to sign a peice of her fabric so that one day when i have a sewing room i can frame it for it.

She also let us see what she's making a pattern for this weekend, its a turtle pincushion!! as ken would say... lurvve it.

Oh, and her display was really fun. thought i'd share.

On a farmer's wife note, i have exactly nine misquito bites on my right arm alone right now. I'm the guy in the red shirt, and lane is the mustache=purple shirt man. I read an article about the fact that people who are stressed out more don't get bit because they secrete an enzyme that they don't like. what?!!?!?? yeah right. Lane must be SUPER stressed, because i still to this day have yet to see a bite on him. I honestly get on average 5 a night while feeding calves. and thats just average from what i've calculated this week.
Yesterday we started chopping corn! Yeah! well, not really, i can drive the smaller dumptruck for a few hours...except when the chopper breaks down and takes 3 hours to fix in the field. Good thing i had my camera. i literally filled up 2GB worth of memory taking shots like the one above. its scary what bordom does to me.
here is the proud owner of the chopper!

And the only picture i'll ever get of Nolan. Farmer to the core.
The sea of corn, there are TWO more fields like this one we have to chop. That means about a solid month of corn chopping. Love being a farmers wife....

wow its been awhile.

Yikes. this is getting a bit neglected lately. i have a million! things that have happened lately, the best of which is showcased below:

A new haircut! i got it done a way long time ago on my birthday but it has actually been that long since i've styled it enough to take a picture of me. I love it! 70's bangs are the best.

I hope everyone is enjoying back to school. Sooo glad i dont' have to. and because i don't, one day i might try my hand at some of these,
wow. i wonder what kid would ever appreciate the craftmenship behind these.
I also redecorated for fall, while keeping my entry-way quite spring-ish. I found some wooden farm eggs way to cheap the other day, and i had to use them, not to mention some georg ribbon and the cutest bar of soap with congruated cardboard around it someone gace me for a gift - thanks visiting teachers!!!

This is by the couches in the living room:
I love the poupourii - how the crap do you spell that - in the candle holders. If you can't see it because the picture is poo, there are tiny little pumpkins in it...and smells oh so yummo.

I didn't slack on the creative side making a craft either, and this one is actually quite functional. Its a leather bottle holder for my lotion (i'm a massage therapist) for work. I can wipe it off, and slip it on the belt of the day for a cute home-made functional item. i love it.
