Phone Pictures!

I finally sat down today and downloaded all my phone pictures onto my laptop. It was easy, Jones just hasn't allowed me to do anything like that for...well 2 months now. But in an attempt to feel more like I'm managing my life as opposed to it managing me, i'm making myself find the time for stuff like this! So here are all the "mentionable" pictures from the phone since christmas (when i got it!)

Locke thought his oranges would taste soooo much better in the bobby...on the table...which was super clean that day.

The boys started wrestling, which at first scared the heck out of me and now happens hourly.

Locke, passed out when we went to a super fun new years party - i actually stayed up past midnight!! i havent done that in years!!(oh my, im an old lady...)

Jones is the cutest baby ever, and Locke still likes to try and "hold" Jones....I think this was one of his last attempts. it obvi wasn't working so well anymore...

The awesome post-bath towel wrap, and locke with his first love - magnet blocks!

Jones falling asleep sitting up, and Locke cracking up at cartoons (i absalutely love when i can hear him giggling at the screen all by himself. so so cute!)

Hey Lane, time for a new jacket??!?, da boys playing around!

Lockes spot of choice to watch cartoons,

And Locke taking a mini pit-stop to catch up on a little Dora (that kid needs a cartoon intervention...)

Jones with the cutest pouty baby lips, and Lane in his usual winter garb - oooooh the farm. love it and dislike it (not quite hate...)

Lane cracks up everytime Lockes glasses fog up, Locke helping with his new chore of unloading the utencils from the dishwasher.

Lockes glasses fogging up from his fever 2 weeks ago, and the boys trying to pass the time with puzzles and being SO SO cute!!

Locke practicing trike safety, the boys and I all dressed up for church! i love winter sweaters, so comfy and warm.

Broken down on the way home (I put a lot of effort into myself that day...) Lane trying to teach Locke the basics of juggling.

Lockes first time bowling! it was halarious to see Lockes little two-year old mindset trying to grasp the concept of "waiting his turn"! It was a great way to teach him to share and i'm going to take him a few more times to really teach him some patience. He loved picking out the neon green ball every time and watching it "crash" into the pins. Jones wasn't quite as impressed and i'm glad he was asleep for half of it...

Locke brought his magnets and got a little board in the last few minutes, until he figured out the would stick to pretty much everything there...

Date night! haha first one since Jones was born, we went to The Porch, a place that serves amazing southern food. I had the catfish, collard greens, cornbread, and sweet potato fries. Lane had a burger. (even though he served his mission in the south??) and it was seriously worth every second away from the kids. Sorry kids, we love ya, but a break is wonderful! I can see why some people do this all the time...

Jones hanging out with Jacob, the philipino baby down the road. I absalutely love his mom, she just joined the church and is still learning english (she also had Jacob 3 months early - scary!!) but has the biggest heart. and i love that she brings me fresh farm eggs all the time.
Second picture is the kids at Ikea, and they did amazingly well that day!

Locke dead asleep but holding fast to some chicken nuggets, and Jones....right after i had cleaned the floors. I'm regretting those really dark hardwoods now....

Some classy oilfield advertising, and the cutest little "sheet" you've ever seen!
All right thats it! i'll be back for ten on tuesday!

Ten on Tuesday!

Ok everyone, (or…mom, since I know she is probably the only one who still reads this…) I’m seriously on a roll. I think with Live Writer and Ten on Tues I’ve finally found a blog combination that lets me write in my “real” journal and the blog on the same night. I love accomplishing as much as possible after the boys hit the sack!! So here we go with this week’s ten:

(the cousins, Warren and Duncan, over on friday afternoon while Nicole teaches choir down at the elementary. Being uncharacteristically still…) hehe…

1. Jones still has no teeth…and is still not sleeping. How does he function!!! I honestly don’t know where his energy comes from. I know he’s a kid but come ON.

2. I planned on a big cinnamon roll heart breakfast for my boys….but Lane ended up taking Jones at 6am, (maybe 7?? nights blur together a lot lately) for a couple hours. and then lane got me roses. and breakfast. and I did nothing. (shame…) One day when I get sleep I will repay Lane for all the wonderful things he has done to keep me sane.

3. We installed lights in the basement living room! yah!! They look so good I love them!

4. Taylor and I are uploading headbands on our facebook page once a week now! its going really well, I still feel like its worth the time spent on it. She has been the perfect person to do it with, although she may be re-considering me as a buisiness partner since I sent a headband to the wrong person last week. (whoops….!!)

5. Kennedy has been sending me pictures of her favorite engagement rings all week (yippee!!!) and I’m seriously so excited for that girl to finally get married. I think I’m just mostly excited for her to get pregnant so she can see what its REALLY like to be pregnant and have kids. She will be shocked and I think its going to be halarious to see her go through it!!!

6. This week Locke and I have been working on shapes. He can now spot a triange, rectangle, and circle. and he’s doing really well still with his chore chart! I’m so proud of him because he reminded ME to do it this morning! smartie pants!

7. I finally was able to tear Lane away from the farm yesterday to go bowling with his family. It was so fun to show Locke how to bowl! once he got the hang of it he had a hard time waiting his turn! But I think bowling is an AWESOME way to teach him how to share and wait his turn. It was really fun with Nicole, troy, their three kids, Dusty, Rachelle, and Vicki and Nolan. We couldn’t get Vicki to bowl! but Nicole convinced Nolan to throw one ball – and he got a perfect strike! totally wasn’t’ fair he threw it on Nicoles name!!! jks. She did win hands down though. I’m glad we didn’t bet, because I got last place!!

9. This: IMG_6210pb

Is Locke sleeping in a chair in front of the computer. He NEver naps, (rarely, in the car) so it was pretty funny to see his head bobbing and sleeping sitting up. so cute!

10. We have the cutest Philipino neighbor down the road from us who just joined the church! I love her to pieces, she doesn’t speak very good english, but our babies are the same ages and are going to be besties. She has started bringing us a about 6 dozen fresh farm eggs a week I’m still trying to figure out what we’re going to do with! if you know me and live within 5 miles, you’re going to get some. Because I just can’t say no to her, and don’t think she’d understand me if I tried!

Ten on Tuesday

1. Jones still has no teeth. and he likes to tell me about it every night, all night. I swear that kid hates to sleep. (heil hitler!! Jones loves his baby food!)

IMG_6160pb

2. Locke rides his trike in house, he has the perfect “lap” around the island and through the living room. We are begging for spring over here! He still asks me to play on the slides when we drive by (which is basically everyday)

3. We fixed the car – cost us 800 bucks and I think it was the biggest waste of money ever….

4. I got a celery root in my bountiful basket  and it looks just like a mandrake from Harry Potter. I don’t know if I can eat it…

yuck.

5. Locke and Jones had fevers for 3 days straight last week. it was pretty rough…

6. In an attempt to get Locke to eat anything, I gave him a bowl of Ichiban, and the next day he kept asking for “spagetti soup”. Oh my heck, that kid is adorable.

IMG_6149pb

and the mini muffin obsession continues….

IMG_6154pb

7. Every time we gave Locke tylonel or cough syrup he would emphatically pronounce, “I feel better!!” most likely so we wouldn’t give him any more!!

IMG_6129pb

8. Jones was playing in my appliances and broke my french press. Ugh, I hate it when they brake stuff!!

IMG_6110pb

(the only way we could get Jones to sleep, in the carseat…)

9. Jones had a HORRIBLE night friday night, seriously up every 1/2 hour, it was rediculous. Lane finally took him and said he was going for a drive to put him to sleep. I relented and crashed on our bed, and Lane showed up 3 hours later! ask me how much I love that man. seriously a lot.

10. I watch Ellen a lot and Jones loves to clap along with audience, kills me everytime.

IMG_6134pb

Just hanging out. Dad and his cling-on.

IMG_6117pb

Locke is pretty good sharing his toys with Jones, except when it comes to the magnet blocks my mom got him for Christmas. They have become his new security blanket, he sleeps, eats, and plays with them!

When Locke is sick there are three things that I know he will demand -

1. magnet blocks

2. “sip cup”

3. cartoons in moms bed.
