Feeding a preemie...

Me and mom will never forget the dreaded syringe feeds we were forced to give Locke during his first week of life. Because of his jaundice and prematurity, he wasn't breastfeeding at ALL, little stink, and yet needed to be eating a LOT. so we had to resort to mom using her finger as a soother while i discretly slid the syringe in the side of Lockes mouth. It was a process that lasted at least an hour each time, and had to be repeated every two hours! ugh, so happy he finally caught on to regular feeding! otherwise it would've been the bottle for him!

Sucking his Thumb!

Here's our little guy just 3 days old and already figured out how to suck his thumb!! Mom said when they do it so young they most likely sucked their thumb in the womb - how cute is that!!

A few recent things...

Locke is the funniest baby ever - he refuses to sleep on his back!! on his side though, most times i can count on a solid 3 hour nap.

how cute are babies when they smile while sleeping?? I love it. But no matter how much I make a fool of myself I can't make him smile! even though Lane says he's very entertained...

Belly sleeping is definately Lockes favorite. and dads. It just makes me melt, i love these boys so SO much!

And the other day we actually ventured out of the house to go to lunch with Tai and her two kids, although obviously Locke didn't think it was all that fun...

The is the picture i plan on blowing up big and hanging in his room, to match all his airplane bedding and decor! that is if we ever get into the farmhouse...


I wish there was a way to tell this baby how much he means to us. He has changed our lives (and my sleeping schedule...) forever. All he has to do is show us his "cheerio" lips and me and Lane crack right up! he is so funny, already i see so much personality in him!










This is my favorite picture of all! This perfect little look, while trying to hold his head up is just my favorite! i love when he's all tanked up and just wants to check everything out - he's so inquisitive and curious. Always wanting to be a part of the action!











Oh my gosh. Me and skye have been having WAY too much fun. I would venture to say we are addicted to her studio!! We keep taking the funnest pictures of this little guy, but i have no idea what to do with all of them! i'm getting some ideas, but it doesn't help that me and Lane are still living in the one bedroom apartment...i can't wait to decorate the farmhouse!!! these pictures will be ADORABLE in it!
