Ten on Tuesday no.2

1. Locke just learned how to play Angry Birds on my phone. Oh dear, what have I done.

2. I re-arranged my living room for hopefully the last time. (yeah right) and bought a buffet table off KSL. (Its like an online thrift store) BIG HAPPENINGS round here.

3. Locke’s bottle is officially GONE. I thought I’d be good to say he is three and not addicted to any baby things. I don’t even let him have a sippy cup to go to sleep. First 5 min was hard, but I should’ve done it probably a year ago. WAY less painful then I thought it would be!!

4. Jones has no teeth. 10 months, no teeth. I think he’s doing it on purpose so he can nurse forever.

5. We have a mini-muffin obsession over here, I found a super healthy chocolate and vanilla-type recipie and we make a batch almost every night! and I let everyone pig out because they are chock full of veggies. Plus how cute are mini muffins?? adorable!

6. There is some MAJOR cabin fever going on here, Lockes favorite thing (other than going to grandmas, of course) is to turn on a funny app on my phone that makes Jones’s head dance to Gagnum Style. Then pulls Lane and I into the front room for a dance party, just to get all the wiggles out.

7. Everytime we walk into a store Locke as an amazing ability to find a container of mini mms. They are his most favorite treat of all time, and I can seriously bribe him to do ANYTHING with them. It’s a blessing and a curse.

8. Just got back the amazing family pictures taken by my AMAZINGLY talented friend Tai at Tai Lee Photography. I am beyond excited to get them printed off and displayed around the house. I love the way she captures little moments and personalities in her pictures, they are just awesome!

9. Locke has this awesome marble set i I got him for Christmas, just like the one we played with for YEARS when growing up. He like to call the marbles COINS, not sure why. Must be something from Dora…

10.We had Macaroni and Cheese with hotdogs for dinner tonight. I should definitely get mother of the year award.

I also did a fun countdown on Instagram today and thought I’d share here as well, its 5 fun facts about me:

1. I have an identical twin sister and we have experienced twin telepathy...once

2. I always sleep on the right side of the bed (furthest away from a burgler, duh!)

3. I've been to massage school and still don't know how to properly fold a fitted sheet.

4. I still love watching American idol even though its like the 4747288th season (new judges, new show in my books)

5. My favorite thing to buy right now is cookbooks. (I can dream lane will ever eat a nori salmon egg roll, right??)

The sweetest baby ever.

Every Friday Nicole’s two kids Duncan and Warren come over so Nicole can teach music down at the elementary school. As you can see, they have a blast. (locke is obsessed with flashlights, Lane even bought this one that is rechargeable, like a cell phone.)

Jones was sleeping in our room, and after hearing a rather large crash, walked in to find him slowly crawling out…hmmmm….you’re looking pretty innocent just watching cartoons there Locke…

Just singing his favorite Dora song to me, I sing it and he yells out the words he knows.

I speak SPANISH!!, and english TOOOOO!! I like them both, how about YOOOOUUU!!!!

Mom told me to take a bunch when taking group photos, and one usually turns out. Well, as you can see this was the best out of a dozen soo….maybe I just need better behaved kids!!

November Happenings!

With November rolling by, that means I squeezed in another Holly Fair, this time with Taylor Larsen (a girl I met at the Holly Fair last year!) we share the same last name but aren’t related. weird. She is amazingly creative and together I think we created a super cute booth that people went nuts over! it was SOOO nice to be busy, it really helped validate all the hours of work that went into prepping everything!

Lane took both the boys to do some chores and and when he pulled up in the farm truck I assumed they would come inside any minute. But a whole hour passed by and I finally went out there to find all three sound asleep!

Yup Locke still has a bottle!! at two and a half. I know its bad, but it is still so easy to put him down for a nap, I love it.

I walked in the kitchen yesterday to find this:

How can you get mad when he was just trying to help? I calmly got the rag and had him try and clean it up. honestly he did a good job, and then the sanitizer came out – that’s a lot of samonella right there!

Mom had a fun idea last time she came out to get Saylor and Locke Build-a-bears. Saylor got a cute reindeer with roller skates, Locke got….well, nothing. He didn’t get it at all and the only thing he wanted to do was play on the computers you used to registar your bear. Needless to say I told mom to save her money till next year when he would actually appreciate it.

Kennedy came out and Lane volunteered to watch the kids so we could watch the new twilight movie!! Seriously I’m married to the most amazing man ever.

On the way to our house Kennedy was giggling at the way Jones was looking at her in the backseat. She stole my camera and took a few gems:

Ten on Tuesday

1.Locke tries to eat a peanut butter sandwhich for every meal. its pretty rediculous.

2. Fun fact about lane: when I have too many tabs on computer (like when I’m browsing Pinterest and think I can look at a dozen things at once) Lane gets bugged. He just doesn’t like it. Lane I’m creative, not organized!

3. lane installed our first door handle this week. We still haven’t used it.

4. We have this adorable little boy named Jones that doesn’t sleep at night. I’m talking like a dozen wake-ups. I’m the biggest wimp when it comes to letting them cry it out, so I just got the “No cry sleep solution” in the mail today. Wish me luck.

5. When locke is eating his peanut butter sandwhiches he loves to say “mmmm delicious” in the most obnoxious and silly ways. Its sooo funny!!

6. The washer broke and dripped oil all over our new basement carpet. Thank you Vicki for investing in every cleaner known to man, the banana solution did the trick. The smell made me want to throw up – who wants to smell fake chemical bananas?? it was horrible! but worked wonders! then we got a new washer, with no agitator, and I’m in love! washing blankets is a breeze!!

7. Me and my friend Taylor Larson (same last name, no relation – how funny is that??) started a facebook business selling headbands TODAY! and it did fantastic! we sold about 75% of our stuff!

8. After the initial excitement of christmas, Locke still loves his magnet blocks from Grandma Merrill and the marble maze. I wish I could put it away though, I’m so scared Jones is going to swallow a marble! Even though Locke only plays with it when Jones is napping!

9. Locke and Jones were wrestling at Taylors house – it sounds rough (and it is!) but Jones giggles the whole time. It is SOooooo cute! I love my boys being just that – Boys!! except this time Locke gave Jones his 1st bloody nose. It was sad, but still cute.

10. Feeding Jones is interesting, we don’t have a high chair so he just sits on my lap or the floor while I feed him. He gets so excited when I pull out the baby food! kicking his feet and smiling!  its is beyond adorable.

I’m shocked at how quickly christmas came and went and now we’re almost done with January. CRAZY! Life with kids really does move so fast, most days after dressing every one and fixing breakfast its already noon!

This was the first year Locke really understood that he was opening presents! It took a bit of coaxing at first, but after a while he was just opening presents as fast as he could, not even looking at what was inside!

Jones was just excited at all the paper and new toys being flung about. His owl “hooting” lasted all morning because of his excitement!!

NOT impressed with Grandma Vicki’s hat. we’ll keep trying though…

I got completely spoiled this year! Lane got me the shoes I wanted, then totally surprised me with a new laptop!! He still hasn’t taken his truck seat in to get fixed though….he is the hardest person to buy for I swear.

Locke loves to crawl into the playpen with Jones and wrestle! they will steamroll each other over and over. And then take a 5 min breather to check out the Bubble Guppies cartoon. They are so cute together and I’m so glad they get along so well! (thus far…!)

He doesn’t nap very often anymore, but I love his sweet little lips and peaceful face when he does. So serene….so calm….so unlike his usual busy self…
